Emma Raducanu has landed in Stuttgart and she is practicing hard ahead of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Raducanu, 20, is set to kick off her clay season in Stuttgart next week. Raducanu, ranked at No 68 in the world, received a main draw wildcard for a WTA 500 event in Stuttgart.
Last year, Raducanu reached the Stuttgart quarterfinal in her debut before losing to Iga Swiatek.

Raducanu receives a warm welcome in Stuttgart
German carmaker Porsche is the main sponsor of the Stuttgart tournament.
Raducanu, who is the global ambassador for Porsche, is set to make her second appearance in Stuttgart. “Very much so! I had a great experience last year and played well, it’s a fun tournament and very well run so I’m really looking forward to returning to Stuttgart,” Raducanu told Porsche-Tennis.
The Stuttgart event in set to feature some of the biggest names of the game, including Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Caroline Garcia. Raducanu is aware she could meet a top player early in Stuttgart and she has no problems with it.
“The tournament always attracts the world’s top players. The strong field means there’s some great tennis to be seen and good competition. Personally, I like to test myself and compete with the best players in the world, so it’s a challenge I enjoy,” Raducanu said.
Last year, Raducanu played her first clay tournament as a pro in Stuttgart. This year, Raducanu is again starting her season in Stuttgart. “I haven’t played on clay since the last clay court season but I’m looking forward to it again.
I’ve already had my first practice sessions. Last year was my first real experience on clay and I was pleased with my progress so it will be fun getting back playing on clay,” Raducanu said. Raducanu last played at the Miami Open, where she was beaten in the first round by Bianca Andreescu.
