Nick Kyrgios has made it perfectly clear that he definitely won’t be appearing in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here is an Australian reality TV series but the series is set in Kruger National Park in South Africa.
The series sees celebrities living in the jungle, where they compete in various challenges. However, Kyrgios doesn’t consider the participants of the series as “real celebrities.” A fan asked Kyrgios on Instagram if he would ever accept to participate in I’m a Celebrity…
Get Me Out of Here! “No. People that go on that show tend to not be celebrities anyway, excuse to get money. They take themselves a bit too seriously because they are known in Australia,” Kyrgios answered.
Kyrgios looking forward to playing again
Kyrgios, 27, hasn’t appeared in any tournaments so far in 2023.
After withdrawing from the Australian Open – Kyrgios spoke with the doctors – who advised him to have knee surgery and clear up the meniscus tear and the cyst that was growing inside his knee. This week, Kyrgios posted a video from the practice court.
“I feel like coming back and snipping people soon,” Kyrgios captioned his Instagram Story earlier this week. Missing the first four months of the season isn’t ideal for Kyrgios but there is also one very positive thing – when the Australian returns to play, his knee will be fully healthy.
“The surgery went great, to be honest, we couldn’t have asked for a better result. We’re all pretty pleased, the team is ready to go, when he’s ready, we’re ready. He’s in a knee brace at the moment, he only has movement up to about 70 degrees.
We have a post-op appointment today to test where it’s at, but we’ve been talking to the surgeon most days and also the physio. They’re really, really pleased, he might be recovering faster than what we were expecting so it’s good news,” Kyrgios’ manager Daniel Horsfall told SEN Breakfast in February.
